Guidebook Progress Update
For those of you that have either inquired about or who are interested in when the new Jackson & Pinedale, Wyoming Day Climbing Guide will be out, this post should shed some light on the matter. I’ve been marketing a summer release date and I’ve pushed hard to make that deadline but unfortunately, the book isn’t going to be out this summer.
Photo Contribution Request
The upcoming Jackson Hole region day climber’s guidebook is lacking key and required photography. The design of the guidebook is based on and focused around photography, both for aesthetics and inspiration, as well as informational route photos. The book cannot go to press until all necessary images have been attained. Photography is the guide’s lifeblood and will play a major role in the book’s success. Please contribute climbing, scenic, and route photography.
Support The Teton Boulder Project
The Teton Boulder Project is a nonprofit, volunteer effort to build a bouldering park near downtown Jackson, WY. The bouldering area will commemorate the role of the Tetons and Teton climbers in mountaineering history, as well as enhance the community atmosphere of the park by giving residents and passers-by a place to climb for free in town.
180° South Screens June 4th
The movie event of the summer; introduction by Yvon Chouinard. This acclaimed film follows Jeff Johnson as he retraces the epic 1968 journey of his heroes Yvon Chouinard and Doug Tompkins to Patagonia. All proceeds to benefit the Teton Boulder Project.
Wind River Chapter Dropped
The Southern Wind River Range Chapter has been dropped from this edition because of time constraints. More then likely that chapter will develop into it’s own guidebook eventually. For now I am going to focus on day climbing areas only.
