About ClimbingWyoming.com

ClimbingWyoming.com is the sister website to the Jackson Hole, Wyoming region guidebook. This is the supplement to the guide as well as an outlet for climbing photography, writings, and news about climbing, mountaineering, and outdoors in and around Wyoming.

TopSo what is this website all about?

The basic goal is to go beyond the guidebook to provide content that the guidebook cannot. Printed material is incapable of accommodating certain types of content, not to mention that it isn’t feasible to go into extreme detail in a book with limited space. The website’s basic goals are to provide:

  1. Guide updates, corrections, new areas, and routes.
  2. Free chapter downloads for destinations that did not make the book.
  3. Extra photos, descriptions, maps and resources that there wasn’t room for in the guide.
  4. Links to 3rd party resources for climbing destinations and routes.
  5. An outlet for the author’s hobbies. Namely, photography and writing.
TopWhat ClimbingWyoming.com Is Not

This site is not supposed to be a replacement for the MountainProject.com, RockClimbing.com, or other online climbing communities. So why not post guidebook supplement information on the aforementioned websites? The quality of content, accuracy, presentation, and depth of supplement information would not be as controllable when freely open online.

TopContent Contributions Are Welcomed

Wesley Gooch is the primary author of this website’s content but hopefully more passionate climbers will help out in the future. If you would like to contribute content or provide feedback please inquire on the contact page.
